A French Delicacy

A French chef came upon an apparently slumbering grizzly while hiking in Alaska. Succumbing to the temptation of cheap Internet virality and undeterred by the harbinger inherent in the beast’s taxonomic classification U. a. horribilis, the Frenchman propped his camera in the crotch of a tree, removed a slice of ham from his rucksack, gingerly placed the deli meat on the somnolent salmon scavenger and, alluding to the English mispronunciation of his native jambon beurre, declared “ham on bear; a French delicacy.” Roused, the grizzly, having never been to France, did not understand the joke but, after sampling the French hors d’oeuvre and entrée, shared the sentiment.
